Does anybody know how to make desktop icons? Like actual ico files and whatnot.
I want to make/edit a few icons i have, but I dunno how to actually save anything as ico files.

Microangelo used to be great for making icons. Although I havent used it in a long time it was great and very easy to use back in the day, Im sure its only improved since then. You can make icons and cursors and even animated cursors.

You can also use http://www.irfanview.com/ and resize the image that you want and save it as an .ico file.

Yeah i'm dumb as fuck right now.
So what happened is.
I have this set of icons, and the icons came with .psd files
I edited the psd file to icons i wanted to, and saved the icons as .png (which i'm assuming is a file type that can be used for SOME program, i'm still experiementing)
And im failing miserably.

Create a 48x48 image in photoshop, save it as a .bmp, then rename it to .ico.
