I need a camera. Don't want to pay too much. Any good choices right now? I have always liked a good nikon...

Lets say I wont be a photo journalist any time soon, but I travel around sometimes during the year so I need something similar to a "point and shoot". Preferably a digital because I dont know a lot about the actual film etc.
