My computer died suddenly, and I needed a new computer for school, so instead of going through and making a computer, my parents wanted me to just grab a computer from bestbuy, and with them paying for it, I said sure.

They ended up getting me this computer, which I don't know how good it is, but it looks decent, however it has two PCI slots with no AGP and PCI-E slots. My last videocard was a GF4 ti 4200 8agpx.

Im just wondering whats one of the better video cards I can get for the PCI slots. I noticed a Gforce FX 5200 256mb and 128mb but I dont know the difference and much about it. Ther was also the FX 5500.

see if you can return the computer and get one with agp/pci-e slots... or are you not playing any games at all?

The worst part is they stopped making PCI cards after the 5700. So if you ever want to play FEAR or any kind of newer game there is probably no way you will be able to. If you plan on playing few to no games, this computer will be alright. But If you play anything beyond TFC or better.. I'd do as Janus suggested.

and hard as it is to say it, if you have to buy a computer (prebuilt) for cheap, you are better off getting a dell. If you can afford maybe a bit better builder try ABS.

You're paying way too much for that system, especially since its a refurb.

I didn't know they made desktop boards without AGP or PCI-e. And I sure as hell would never buy one.

From my own personal experience avoid ABS. Total shit they gave me. Shoddy building and crappy case and eventually 3 RMAs including one for the mobo
