Ok. Get ready for a rant. Few things I really dont like about this game.

But first, ill talk about the good stuff. First thing I noticed, the graphics and control you have over your players is phenominal. The gameplay (if you have the setting on simulation and not arcade) is very realistic, you call your plays, execute them, all around a very good simulations (imo) of basketball. The graphics as well as faces are very detailed and pretty damn close to what they look like. Lots of cool jukes, spin moves, few dunks, im very pleased with this aspect of the game

Now onto the bad..

I have no played this game very long so everything I am telling you is from my experiances as of a few days, so if any of this is wrong please correct me.

First off, uncommon to most traditional pro sports games, you cannot create your own player to play on your favorite team. You can create your "street baller" and play in the street hoops mini game built into the game (i guess they took a dulled down version of nba street and threw it in). But as far as I can tell you cannot make a player for the NBA portion of the game. So that was kind of dissapointing.

Next, for everyone that isn't that big into basketball but would still like the simulation type play of it, the practice feature of the game is useless. All you do is pick a team and shoot around. You cant setup plays and run them or anything like that.

Dont get me wrong I think its a very fun game to play, I just think its lacking a few features that make conventional sports games fun. Personally I think they could have left that street baller part out and focused more on the things I have ranted about. But they didnt make the game for me only, unfortunately. But like I said I could be wrong on some of this stuff so please correct me if I am.

There is a create player option... just go to options and it should be there. Once you finish creating him, he'll end up with the free agents and you just assign him to a team from there.

As far as the practice...yea its pointless. I just like the dynasty mode and the gameplay.

Can you, unlike NBA 2k5, have multiple user controlled teams in the dynasty mode? I always wonder why developers leave this key feature out.

No, you do it before you start the association and then when you start the association, use the current roster setting instead of default.

practice mode is NOT useless.

I used it to get the perfect timing down for a jump shot. So I shoot about 75% from 3 point land
