Well, the time has come to hang up the tag and stop this ol' gravy-train. After roughly four years of tag-life and three years in competitive 9v9, including just short of 200 matches (with 5v and 7v), Gambit and I have decided to retire [-nZ] Team -Negative Zero. With the end of the 9th UGC Season, we both took a break and kinda re-evaluated what we wanted to do with the team, and realized that we're just not up to the grind anymore.
The concept of -nZ started four years ago from some break-off players (Datawire and ballzy) from the 7v clan, FBD, and was mostly just a 7v team until we merged with the old -|NFK|- clan to compete in 9v. Since then, the teams had a few ups (made it to Bronze a couple times, playoff runs in UGC) and pretty big-ass downtime after the fallout of the Datawire-thing, and the roster of past-players is so big I don't even want to try to name everyone - yet no matter who was playing or what division we were in, the bottom line for us was to just have fun, and to play the game with a relatively clean rep. I guess that's a bit of an ironic statement, since our founder ended up being banned for hacking, but take it as you will.
The team changed a lot over the years, as TFC clans do, with Gambit and myself now being the only guys that can actually remember the old days. I'd like to think we've made a lot of friends over the years, both from the old guard and some of the new guys that was the core of this last phase, but I'm sure we pissed off a bunch of people (probably the guys we kicked, lol) along the way, too. I know I have my enemies (hi Vampire ;) - btw, you're still a dick, hehe)
It feels weird to be the one retiring the team.. nZ was Datawire's brainchild for almost three years, and say what you will about him, he was a damn good leader and certainly helped out the TFC community quite a bit during his admin-tenures - but basically, there's no one else to do it other then me, lol. I've tried to steer this train for almost a year now, and now that I know what it's like to lead a team, I must say, hats off to the guys like Azlan who have been doing this for so long. Leading a team is lot more wearing then I could ever imagine - that, and the f*cking babysitting you gotta do to make sure you get nine on Monday nights, lol.
There's a few thank-yous I'd like to throw out there - to the current crew (Mashi, Ricky, bw, Bafipal, Apollo, BadCompany, bird^, probably others that I'm forgetting), to the old farts like Fuddy, Chron and LSD who just kept coming back, the old TF-crew (Blaster, HotRod), and to the guys who have at one time or another been a part of the leadership (Fred, Soundwave, RogueCheddar, Imp), the list goes on.. how about just anyone that ever touched the nZ-roster, even the dicks - you guys made the team what it was, a kickass place that would suck you back in when you tried to leave, lol. There's so many retired players that I wish I could thank, but they never read here, so.. oh well, lol.
Also, thanks to padawan and aXe for being two of the best admins I've ever dealth with - pad, I'll definately submit an app after exams are done.
Finally, thanks to Gambit for helping me carry this weight - we didn't do as well as we would have liked, but hey...who cares, lol...
GG to all the clans we played, GL to all clans in the future.. cya when FF finally comes out...

P.S. Yeah, I know this should probably be in the 'Community' section, but I don't give a rats ass :)
