This script would sort of be like a second auto-join list. You join the first set of your channels when you first connect. Have the script wait 1-2 minutes, and then join the whole second set. Possible?

/join blah blah blah blah <-- ur first set
/timerjoin 1 60 /join #teh, #other, #channels
