That sucks...we'll I mean if you into shitty non exclusive games that are mainly made for xbox 360 for the cool looking graphics then I guess you'll be having a blast with madden 2020. I'm personally going to wait to see which system (ps3 or wii) is going to release amazing exclusive games...because I know 360 won't be any time soon.

as for blowing their fans heads off at e3, i think microsoft did a better job

I may have sounded like a fanboy in my last post, but seriously... they are delivering 3rd and 4th installments of games as their creme de la creme (GTA4 and Halo3) and they are the only system without at least some form of a motion sensor in their controller (which will make a difference).

See that's the problem. You're looking at it from your point of view. Obviously everyone is really excited about the MS conference....just as many people are excited about the Nintendo conference. MS has the upper hand because they have an existing product...

Also the other upperhand that MS has is that they can deliver all of their content to their users via marketplace....which is god damn brilliant if I do say so.

Every system has rehashes... That argument is a rehash itself. How many of the games below (stuff at e3) is truly a "rehash" Sports games are obviously coming out every year and have for 15 years. TV shows are on for years, movies are remade multiple times.... etc. The market obviously likes it.

lewlz dude lewlz..xbox 360 hasen't released a game that has caught my attention what-so-ever...even though that may be an opinion the one game I had fun playing on xbox 360 would be fight night. Which again isn't an exclusive game. Call of duty big fucking whoop I played this game for a few hours and switched back to my friends gamecube right after. Xbox 360 yet has to release a game that I say "wow I need xbox 360" even though it would be a waste of even 150 dollars (which isn't even the case) to buy for that one game.

As for the comment about no good gamecube games but super smash bros...I guess you gotto have friends to enjoy the others. Many that are multiplayer are fucking sick. Best multiplayer game IMO has to be mario power tennis. We can create tourneys and play all day. As for other games you have zelda wind wakers, paper mario, tales of symphonia, many of the redone resident evils (correct me if I'm wrong? but resident evil 4 came out first for gamecube and was rated in many zines/shows (game informer, gamepro, gamespot.com, spike tv, blender) to be one of the top games to be released of that year? and according to a quote on the capcom website was voted best game of a past e3)..and the list doesn't stop. Zelda Twilight princess which should be coming out in november? should be fucking amazing. Many of these games that you can play with friends make it more fun, like having someone control the lil dude you helped escape from prison in wind wakers.

Regardless of the bashing on xbox games I'll give you the call of duty and fight night because of graphics...and halo 3 which will be okay.

I'm really sorry that
1. I don't enjoy games such as madden 200-whatever and lame fps games which you could play on PC or other consoles with only decent graphics, but I enjoy many of the exclusive ninetendo games they put out to date...regardless on how kid-like they look.
2. you wasted your money on a console that has no well thought out/fun exclusive games
3. PS3 and Wii have yet to be released and already look more promising than xbox 360 regardless of whatever games were shown at e3 AND I can promise you that sooner or later games will be released that are well thought out and fun on both of the systems (which for as long as they have been around they've done - IMO xbox hasen't released more than 5 awesome exclusive games since even the first one came out).

Best news of E3 '06 = Lumines for xbox live arcade

Now I can finally have no regrets whatsoever about selling my psp.

As far as the whole Wii vs PS3 thing goes, I just hope that nintendo can pull this off. As much as I keep telling myself how its all about gameplay and not graphics, I felt like such a hypocrite watching the sony e3 press release. "Sony you ass tards, its the same old crap! Oh, and how could you so blatantly steal Ninte.... uh... wait whats this... MMMmmm... MGS 415 and Final Fantasy 6,309,526... mmm... pretty graphics.. mmhmm..." OH! right. gameplay.

Despite what anyone thinks about the Wii, it really needs to win. Neither Nintendo or the Wii are perfect, but they are definitely headed in the right direction. Nintendo is the only company that can make this kind of change in the gaming industry, and this change is long overdue. I just hope they don't fuck it up. I know they want to make gaming accessible and keep the costs down, but I'm worried that they sacrificed too much in the graphics department. Sure, gameplay > graphics. But amazing graphics sure don't hurt. :-/ I guess it all rides on how good that wii controller really is. As for me, I don't think I'll really know if Nintendo has a honest chance to win until I'm sitting there in gamestop playing tennis on the demo unit.

My tentative strategy is to keep my 360 for traditional "next gen" games that are on par with the PS3, and then pick up a Wii for "new gen" games that are actually fun. All for the price of 1 PS3 :_X


PS - Now that microsoft has made it clear that they intend to focus on making 360 vs PC multiplayer happen for cross platform games (shadowrun), are they going to rethink their stance on coming out with a mouse for the 360? That's by far my biggest gripe with the 360 - they place such a huge emphasis on shooters and the controller is the worst kind imaginable for that genre. If not, I imagine alot of whiney 360 xbox live kids crying on the forums after they get an eye-opening experience. You know, like being raped by a PC user... with a mouse... over the internet.

yah but what happens when ps3 releases another amazing line of videogames and xbox is just chilling with all the same shit again. I can forsee it being like ps2 vs xbox. I purchased xbox near the release date, and still have been thoroughly dissapointed with my purchase. While I liked gamecube more than ps2...ps2 simply had a better line of games than the xbox console. As I can already see the same thing is happening...oh they are releasing a new halo. Cool. I guess I gotto buy xbox 360 now so I can waste another wad of money on a system for 1-2 games and not see anything beyond that released.

Sorry maybe I'm just angry that I actually blew money on xbox and all I bought it for was to sit on the ground. I admit playing halo2 for a week straight was okay, but the same thing happened when xbox was released as it is now with the xbox 360. Few friends regretting the buy, big wad of friends not even intrested in the purchase, and soon enough amazing games for other consoles. But I guess we can only wait and find out.
