A TEENAGER was thrown 15 feet into the air and left with serious burns when a telephone wire he was dangling off a railway bridge touched the 25,000-volt railway power cables.

cub scouts = i saw a kid get thrown about the same distance when lightning struck a tree he was standing next to. He was ok for the most part, so it ended up being nothing more than a cool story to tell :D

Obviously, the kid is lucky to be alive and should be thankful of that, but wow... I feel sorry for him because unless he gets a really good plastic surgeon, his face is going to be severely messed up for the rest of his life. The story mentioned that skin was peeling off of his face.

Indeed. I knew a kid who was electrocuted when he was 15, and was severely disfigured. He's missing his right leg, half of his left arm, and half of his face.
