i dont know anything about tatoos but if i get one im definatly gonna design it myself. i like this though

it's a decent design, but frankly thats like the most cliche thing you can get. like a star or something surrounded by some wavy lines aka "tribal". though this is a little more paletteable I think you should add more to it. I only say that because I do some designing for some tattoo places around my area every now ad then. And yes, lower back is bad.
