i just got HL2/ Source


what are some of the cool mods i should check out ...... is there a mod which is somewhat close to TFC ?

a bit but it totaly suck, I think its called sourcefort? but dont play it :P

Not sure if it even still has servers, but back in the day, Garry's Mod was hours of fun.

You should check out sites like www.planethalflife.com and similar places that do mod reviews and stuff.
I think the closest thing to TF gameplay is a capture the flag mod based on hl2dm.
You should definitely check out Dystopia, if you haven't already. Kreedz climbing is interesting in its presentation of air control/movement in Source. Hidden: Source looked good, I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. http://planethl2.net/ might have more, I'm not as familiar with it as I am with phl though.

hidden source was soooooooo fun but i dont play it anymore. check out www.moddb.com they have like every mod made.

go onto gamesurge and goto #sourceforts

The latest version pretty much fixes all the crash bugs, so the game is very playable now.

the current issue of CGW has a 3-page cover on an amazing looking RTS/FPS mod. I believe it is close to release.
