I plan on getting a tat this summer, once I have the cash to spare and I have a design drawn out that I really like. My soon to be tat is kind of hard to explain, but I plan on getting a 3 leaved clover with question marks outlining the curves of the clover. The meaning of it comes from me not knowing my real dad (who was Irish, moved from Ireland when he was 20 or so) and that my mom was supposedly put in an orphanage from an Irish couple. I have no real knowledge of my family history sooooo yea, you get the idea.
Any decent doodlers out there who want to help me out in designing my tat?

I am about ready to go in and get my third. (a pic of my second can be found here http://dirby.myrandomsite.com/IMG_0290.jpg)
My only advice on getting your first is make sure you really want to do it. Once I got my first one drawn I put it up in the spot where I would see it everyday, in this case, I taped it to my bathroom mirror. I left it up there for a year, yes 365 days, and looked at it everyday for at least half a minute or so. After a year, I realized that I still liked it, so I went and got it done.
I would also not recommend getting a tattoo at the beggining of summer, if I were you I would wait until at least the end of september. Sun causes a lot or problems (fading, discoloration) as well as you won't be able to go into water for a few weeks. After care of a tattoo is more important than anything else about it. Be sure you are ready to make that commitment.
That's my advice, if you have any questions PM me on here, or you can find me in IRC until sunday (when I lose internet) in #hhmedia /msg iamrickey

all of mine are meaningful. The first is a tribal-esque (I use the term tribal loosely) cross that is in the middle of my upper back.
On my Grandfather's gravestone there is a cross on the back of it which acts as a shield against demons. It is my reminder that I am not perfect and my faith in Christ is my shield.
The second (in the picture above) is an ancient christian symbol called the chi-rho, it is the first two letters of Christ in greek. When Roman's had banned christianity it was a symbol christians used to identify one another. The third which I will get in late september is a dove representing the holy spirit.

I haven't had any done for going on about 3 years now :(
I'm planning on going back soon. Have about 30 hours worth of work now. Have 2 hours left on my left leg "sleeve" which has remained unfinished for 3 years. But I'm starting to like that it's unfinished...It says alot about me :p
I've been working on a small video game montage but I'm thinking I'll talk myself out of that at some point. I have my right arm covered (From the elbow up) so the next thing I need to do is extend that down to cover my entire right arm. Then I'll have both arms covered. Probably do my right leg at some point. Have tribal sleeves on both my left and right arms.
What I was doing was basically looking at some of the flash my artist had made that I liked... I prefer to have something that nobody else does... I don't even look at this shit on the wall.
