My router won't let me dcc on IRC/Aim or host a server on Steam. I know it's a port thingy but I am newbie at this. Will thou be so kind as to help, or anyone else that can guide me step by step :(

what model? you can find it on the sticker on the bottom of the router.

I have never been able to DCC or anything even with out a router... I have a Linksys router also, but i am able to host a server on tfc tho.

i had this with the router i used, but i think it was because my nerd roommate set it up that way so he could torrent 24/7 and hog the bandwidth (im lagging out of tfc and he used at least 60% of the bandwidth with 3 other computers on the network)
but it was also my firewall, so i had a double negative on dcc's and i didnt bother to go around each one, i would just use AIM to send and receive files like that because for some reason that would work
