well I've had my build for like 2 years now with very few problems. I have a ATI 9800 all in one pro video card in a ASUS p4p800 deluxe mobo. It runs HL2 great but i recently installed WoW and have a problem. It runs ok for a few minutes but then it starts to glitch, after it starts to fuck up if I look around at like a long view it will totally fuck up the video and i'll have to restart my comp. It seems like the video card might be overheating but the fan is running fine on it... i dunno whats up. also I have all the latest drivers already

I think some of the 9800's had temp sensors, but I recall there being an issue with them reporting the right temps.
Back on topic: That sounds like an overheating issue, be sure the heatsink isn't plugged with dust and is still well mounted.

I have the same card. The little bitty fan on mine was turning, but it was overheating and starting to cause my video to crap out. I checked out a bunch of forums and found lots of references to a aftermarket cooler.

I work really close to the SVC building, so I willcalled one. (no shipping fees)It comes with a tube of heat paste, but I opted to get a tube of Arctic Silver 5.
It took less than 10 minutes to assemble it onto my card. It was very simple, everything fit, and nothing frustrated me. (be careful how tight you tighten the screws, lots of people get stupid and crack their chips cause they think they are tightening a lug nut...)
How does it work? I was stunned. My case temp dropped by about 6 degrees, and my CPU temp dropped by 4 degrees.
Not bad for ten bucks...
BTW, when I took off the original HSF, I found that dust had gotten between the chip and the heatsink...sorta explained why the card was heating up..

well I'm quite sure that it is an overheating issue even tho ati tool wont work w/ it. I put a hugeass deskfan right next to my open case and i could run WoW with no video problems.
So do you think getting something like the arctic silencer would work since I don't want to keep this monstrous fan running everytime i want to game?

Yeah, Get a new videocard fan and it should be fine. You really dont want a huge fan throwing dust right into your case 24/7

It worked for me, and it is quieter than the stock little bitty fan.
