is it possible to hook-up 2 wireless card in my PC, and have 2 ocnnections to my one router, then bridge the 2?

Could this reduce how much loss I get in game?

Feed me info.

I gather from that that it *is* possible to bridge multiple network adapters on a single PC, so "yes" to the first question. But it appears that your router (or any incoming network connection) will recognize the bridge as a single virtual adapter, so "no" to the second.

if you hooked it up the way some servers are connected to their networks, it might help some, in that you use one card for download and one for upload, but I doubt those servers use wireless cards.

Your theory of it working like a dual processor or something is probably incorrect.

Pretty much you just need to get rid of the wireless shit altogether for good connection speed.

wired is impossible for me :(

too far away from my router to run cables without making a few holes in the walls, which the mom wont allow... we just got hardwood & ceramic tiels htorughout our whoel house, so no carpet to bury under. Also can't run it throught he atic due to 3 feet of blown in insulation :(

I'll chekcout that windows networking site when I get home, ty.

why the fuck are you so far away from your router?

If anything, you should have the router in your room and let the rest of the computers use the wireless connection since they won't need the bandwidth.

Anyway, it looks like through the wall is the only option. You can cover those up with plates, unless you want it to look all ghetto and shit. You don't need to be trying to run the cat5 cable, you need to run the cable cable. if you're using dsl, first off you're gay, secondly just run the phone line.

why don't you swap out wireless cards? here's the situation as I see it:

Your comp:
has wireless card

Upstairs/router room comp:
uses wired ethernet card
wireless card doesn't work

So, if you have cable in your room, move the modem and the router to your room. Then, swap the wireless card out of your computer and into the one upstairs. I'm assuming you're using xp, so the wireless card that works in yours should work in the one upstairs.

If you can't do any of this because

A. Either wireless card or both are on the motherboard
B. Your mom is a huge bitch and won't let you fuck with anything
C. You're too stupid to figure out how to do it

Then remember that it's down the street, not across the road with that razor blade.

but seriously, your shit should be wired up, otherwise you're always going to have shitty ping or connection issues. If the card in your pc works, I'd swap it out into the other machine that has wireless problems and move that modem and router into your room. Problem solved.

I tried that. However I shall giver another go this afternoon. I owuld kill to be hard wired, it makes such a tremendous difference on everythign form your jump timing, which reflex your hop speed, to hitting your concs more consistantly

just out of curiosity, what kind of wireless adapter are you trying to put on these xp machines? If it's not linksys, you might as well be trying to link to the internet through tin cans and a string.

If you need some cat5e cable, i have 1000 feet of it. If you measure your shit off and talk to me i will sell it at dirt cheap just enough to get my money back.

using a Linksys router & D-Link 510+ cards... or maybe 520+ i forget I'm at work.

I have sitting behidn me right now a 1000ft spool of Cat5 cable. Its completely at my disposal, but I have no where in my house to hide the wires.
I'm going to really fuck with shit this weekend and try and get a better setup.
