Does anyone have any details on the next generation processor AMD is making?

Thanks.

In the short term they are going to put two dual cores on one motherboard, the idea being that it will be way faster than Conroe. It will also cost a buttload more than Conroe, and there are almost no smp games.
K8L is supossed to be the next big thing from AMD, but they aren't saying much about it, other than how great it's going to be. The fact is AMD didn't push hard enough on the next gen cpu's, and now Intel has Conroe ready for the market and it's faster than anything AMD has, and it costs less. Intel is also slashing prices, so AMD is going to drop prices up to 50% at the end of july. It looks like AMD is going to take a beating on the desktop for a while, perhaps it will make them get K8L out the door a bit faster.

If you're thinking about building a new PC soon, the Intel Core 2 Duo chips should be out at the end of July; AMD's new socket AM2 doesn't really provide any performance gains over socket 754/939, and AM2 won't be worth it until the K8L architecture comes out in late 2007(?).
