My question is more where would i find the parts required for this. After that, then i can worry about how to actually replace it.
My problem is this: the left mouse button on my laptop has been overused and is pushed down into the casing of the computer. Basically the button rests lower than it should and is extremely sensitive to touch. Barely any weight triggers the contact, and this is becoming tiresome. I want to replace the button, which means replacing the board im sure.
My question is whether or not the touchpad is part of the motherboard assembly or whether it is its own seperate board. Also, how would i go about obtaining said parts required. I searched but did not find anything useful, but i admit i am out of my element on this one. Any help is appreciated.
My laptop is a Dell XPS M140
I will post a picture of the problem when i get home.
