Keep submitting for POTW 66

Hi, I'm doing POTW 66.

I've got most of the stuff I want to do with it in concept. Now I just need you guys to submit for it.

I've already gone through most of the demos in the garage, but I want more!

What I'm looking for:
HLTV DEMOS! - I really want to make this POTW with some freedom with the camera, and this is the only way I can do that.
Complex plays
ADL - Especially Bayeux from this Sunday
Unique O CTF plays

I'm just starting to go through stuff today, and it'll be released depending on how fast you guys submit and how quickly the plays take up the time slots for the avi.

It will just be the regular POTW style, just lots of plays.

Yeah, so it seems that the demo garage is broken (at least I can't get to any of the demos), so all the demos that have been recently submitted (crimmy and up) are no go. I can't get them. At all.

So that means you need to get me anything you want me to consider for the POTW via email or dcc.

I suck at IRC, as I'm not sure how to auto-accept dcc, but if you upload your zipped or .rar'd demo to www.yousendit.com or www.rapidshare.com or www.megaupload.com and message me the link, I will definitely get it. Find me in the channels in my sig, and I'm also trying to idle in #tfc.gather.us as much as I can. I idle as redbaron or baron. In addition to that, my email is link_3191@hotmail.com if you prefer that.

As far as progress goes, I've selected and recorded 8 plays so far. They're ready for editting, but I need more, especially considering I'm looking to fill almost 3 minutes of footage (I know, a biggie :().

But seriously, the pickings are pretty thin, and I want to give you guys somethign to ooo and ahh about, and only you guys can help me with that.

Monday was Labor day weekend, and almost all of STA had a bye, so I'm relying on the two 5v5 leagues and TFL primarily to fill up the rest of the AVI, so please please please please submit so I can make this thing worth wile.

Well, I started some editting earlier today. I have a few good ideas I'm trying, and the camera stuff is about 1/2 as good as I want it, so I'm going to try and work with that more.

It's going pretty well, but I'm starved for footage still. The song I'm using runs 2:40, but with the stuff I've selected and put in the AVI already I'm only at about 1:30. There are two plays I've yet to record yet, but those should take up more than 10 seconds each, if that, so yeah, I need stuff.

UGC guys and ADL this Sunday, and STA9v Monday, please submit.

Well, the main reason this is taking so long was because of the lack of demos.

But that seems to be taken care of, and I think I can start editting, which should take too long. I'm compiling the last few clips right now and running them through batch process.

I'm not sure how much time I'll have this weekend, but it should definitely be ready and out there for everyone to see soon. Monday? Tuesday? Earlier? I don't know yet. Just have to wait until I'm satisfied.

Update:

Well, Premiere has decided to become a complete tool and not let me export things properly.

I spent a good portion of today going through what I had making titles and making sure that names and leagues were all matched up. I put in pretty much final transitions, and tweaked a little bit of the audio syncing.

The bad news. For some reason every time there's some sort of transition Premiere decides to cut the top and bottom of the video. I have no idea why, and I've tried a few things to fix it, but it's beyond me now and I'm just going to take what I have and move it over to Vegas. I'd never thought I'd come to switching over, but here I am.

Besides that small setback, almost everything is done. I'll have most of tomorrow afternoon to switch the editting over to Vegas, so it's not a real big deal. The main problem, sadly, is that even with all that's been submitted, I still have a 25 second gap to fill. Everything has been recorded, compiled, and editted together. I'm just missing 25 seconds worth of footage.

Sorry if this is taking long guys, but it's hard to put something together that'll look slightly impressive when I don't have any materials to work with.

In the mean time, while waiting for submissions, I've just been polishing away. Practicing with the final compression. Stupid stuff like that. I don't think it will be anywhere near Smack's ungodly quality of POTW AVIs, but hopefully it'll give someone a couple minutes entertainment.

As for submissions, as you can guess I'm still taking them. Tonight was Pitfall, and that's probably my favorite map to make AVIs (with HLTV demos) so please, if you have a good play, and you get me the HLTV demo, I can probably guarantee that you'll make the cut. Also, STA 5v5 tonight on Hellion has loads of potential still.
