With a full time job and getting married soon, my time as well as my finances don't necessarily afford me the opportunity to set aside a block of time for study classes. Does anyone know of a few highly recommended prep books with tests and such that I can purchase and study? I have no desire to take a shot in the dark and just try to grab one on my own.

I took this back in February and just started my full-time MBA program 2 weeks ago. If you haven't already, go to www.mba.com and get the free GMATPrep software. It has content to help you understand the test and 2 practice tests. It's a unique test and is probably way, way different than any other test you've taken before. It forces you to think outside the box.

That software is all I used to prepare myself for the GMAT and it worked great. There are also other sources for books n'stuff on that website if you want more.

Any of the standard kaplan/princeton review/rea etc books should be good practice. Make sure the first ones you buy have written explanations for the answers and not just the answer. If money is not an issue, you might think about taking the questions you don't understand to a tutor for explanation.

The thing to remember about all the standardized tests is that they are predictable. Take as many tests as you can, multiple times if you can. Although the same question will never get asked twice, the same styles of questions get asked over and over.
