platforms combined for online play?

TF2 is going to be played on Xbox360, PS3, and PC. Will valve initiate a move by gaming companies to make platforms merge in to one online resource? Sounds like a dream come true for them as they could deliver online content to other systems as well as PC.

Another question would be updates.. Is it possible with games on 360/ps3 ?

I had heard rumours that you'd be able to connect to XBLive through Vista so I suppose that it *could* also be possible to play on Live through a PC as well.

I doubt that VALVe would make some sort of deal to link Steam and Live though so I'm not sure how that would all work.

XBOX would prolly never do that. They have a strict list of microsoft standards the game must uphold. Also they gata get that xbox live money. More likely for ps3 to do that than xbox but my bet is on neither.

This is absolutely the wave of the future but it's going to be blocked for a while by shortsightedness and greed. One day down the road they'll make the deal and trade the money and then all online games will be like this.

What do you think the aim assist will be like for the console versions? Halo2 has alot of aim assist to make up for the difficulty of using the thumb pads.

Yeah and PC users have PP5007.dll Aim assist also. So it'll be even. =)
