Help a brotha out

Alright I haven't really made an avi in years but I just got done with a little something in premiere. When I export the AVI and it's done being created, it only has audio and the file size is way smaller than it should be (it'll be like 8mb instead of the 60 or so it should be). It is an actual AVI file and the resolution is correct, but the video is just complete black. I've tried 2 versions of xvid and divx and nothing works...I had this exact problem years ago but I don't remember how I resolved it. Is there something I need changed in premiere?

Export it uncompressed. For me, Premiere doesn't like it when I export it using xvid. I just take all the bmp's render them into clips -> edit/orgranize them -> export audio/video -> final compression in vitural dub.
