UGC is pleased to announce to the community the conversion of our entire league from a season-based to a title-based format.
We have successfully spent a month in this new format and have already named titleholders in some of our divisions. Our current clan base has overall been very pleased with the change as it affords greater opportunity to achieve a division title, as well as larger and more balanced divisions and schedules that allow for competition between teams of equivalent skill.
We are using a win-streak based system to award teams with title shot matches in a format you are probably familiar with from other leagues. Medals are awarded to title holders on the rankings pages, titleholders are listed on the home page of the UGC site, and teams retain permanent records and other interesting statistics on a trophy shelf on their team's statistics page.
UGC has also relaxed our strict yard D rules to allow yard defense when a flag is near the yard based on the wishes of our teams.
Now that summer is over the number of participating teams is growing weekly. I encourage everyone to visit our new site (http://www.ugcleague.com) and we hope to see you join as well.
