Forgot about HammerFall, I already have thier stuff. Bodom isn't really my cup of tea. The vocals really turn me off from seeing them as power metal. And dear lord, how did I get forget Demons and Wizards when I have Blind Guardian and Iced Earth listed :/

Sorry, but your definition of power metal must differ greatly from the rest of the metal world. None of those bands are power.

Iron Maiden (http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=25) is New Wave of British Heavy Metal (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=77:7760). Which influenced what became power metal, but still has distinct differences. Helloween is arguably the first power metal band.

That is if you are talking about Slipknot, Kittie, Trivium, Korn, Rammstein, and Mudvayne being power metal.

No Trivium is. I'm not sure why Allmusic lists them as alt metal, probably because Allmusic blows for any band that hasn't sold a few billion albums.
