formatting PC - itunes backup?

I'm about to format my PC. I want to backup my itunes so I dont have to induvidually add each song. How do I do this?

last time i fornatted I remember I had to manually add each song over again. I dont wanan do this again

All you gotta do is add an entire folder.

So in my case I have it set up with a folder called Music, and inside of that a folder for each CD and folders for singles and what not.

I just add the Music folder because iTunes is designed to include the sub-folders and their files. So all of the music within the Music folder is added into the library.

see i have 18000 songs in my e:/music folder but only 2400 of those songs are on my ipod. I cant just add the whole folder, you see what i mean
