I have an ASUS A7N8X-X motherboard and I recently got a new videocard which is an eVGA 6800 Plain AGP, my problem is that whenever I go to install drivers right in the middle of the installation it will make my screen go black and sometimes it will make the new hardware found sound. I managed to get through a driver installation without it doing that and everything is fine except when I go into games after a while my computer will freeze and I have to restart. I was just wondering if maybe my motherboard doesnt like this card or if anybody has ideas, cause I really like the card and it performs very well when its not freezing.

CPU : AMD Athlon 3000+ 333FSB
Mobo: ASUS A7N8X-X
Vid Card: eVGA GeForce 6800 8x AGP

Are you sure the card isn't getting too hot? Have you tried different driver versions? What was your previous card? Did you completely remove the old drivers, including booting into safe mode and running Driver Cleaner Pro?

333 fsb are you joking? put it down to stock i think it is stressing your system to the point of oblivion. make sure it is ABSOLUTELY stable before going any further (IE prime95 for like 24 hours straight).
