AVI Website/Archives?

So, I have a bunch of TFC AVIs that I tried getting uploaded to GMP in the past but they never made it. They're taking up space on my harddrive and I'm looking for someplace to store them, but if GMP isn't going to be around much longer then I'm not sure what to do with them. Should I get them to OzFortress?
I thought the catacombs was going to be updated with a section for AVIs, customizations, maps etc etc... Whatever happened to that?

I'm trying to decide if I should re-upload to GMP and try to get them posted, try ozfortress or just wait for the catacombs to become useful.

If it were up to me I'd keep every TFC avi ever made, but I have limited harddrive space, so... :(

No, I haven't actually gotten around to making any real avis yet. Maybe after I upgrade to a system with more than 256mb of ram ;x
No, they're just avis that nevermade it onto GMP or anywhere else that i know of. I'm not sure how many of the more recently released avis are available on a central site like GMP or ozfortress and how many can only be found on people's hard drives, but it would be great if they were all collected someplace.

well i had many avis the other day but for some reason i was a moron and deleted my 42 gb avi folder, not a bad collection.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of. If people keep deleting their avi collections and we don't have a central storage location, we're gonna lose one of the most entertaining relics of TFC history :p
Seriously, I'm considering getting a bunch of blank cds and burning all the avis I can find.
40GB (and that's probably a low estimate, did you have every tfc avi ever, 44-?) is like 60 cds though, lol.

Google video, youtube etc are all amazingly terrible quality and not even remotely suitable for viewing tfc movies.

Actually on google video, there is a trick to keep quality.

If you download their player and "download" the movie (it still streams) the quality becomes normal again.


It's awesome and its an easy way to watch old favorites (trent's avis, LD2, etc.)

This is an idea someone should look into, just have a page where you can download pretty much any avi ever made, or as many as we can all compile together. The question is, where can we do this and who will organize it...

fong and qs both offered to store them for me, but until i can find a practical way of transferring them that's kind of on hold (my upload is quite slow).
if i can get my DCC to work, i might just be able to send one big .zip file over a couple of days - assuming nothing goes wrong with autoresume ;x
also, i've just found another folder with a bunch of assorted media, some of which might be tfc avis. i'll have to go through it.

oh you know it loche, it was decent cause i got conced all the way across torch 2 room and saved the day from 2 meds capping. Other than that it was all O plays.
