So I just got new internet almost 2 months ago, its comcast, and we have a wireless G router. I was connected to it just fine for a month straight, no disconnects ever. A week ago, one of my roomates shut off the power that the modem/router are in so he could fix a light switch. Now, unless I have the "wireless zero configuration" started and running all the time, I will get disconnected within a half an hour. The problem with keeping that on is in tfc every minute that it searches I will lag for about 5 seconds. The only option I can think of is to increase the time in between searches from 1 minute to say 20, but I feel like the reason it stays connected now is only because when it feels like disconnecting the config senses it and keeps it on, and if it disconnects in between 20 mins I will have to do it manually.
Why would shutting off the power have anything to do with getting disconnected all of a sudden, and is there anything I can do to stop it? Its a pain in the ass when playing tfc and having to suddenly be disconnected, only to manually turn on the search feature and be back in the server in a minute.
