I know Madcow on Skullcrusher OD'd and died in his push to 14. He was taking stimulants and pulled down I think 1.5 million honor in addition to raiding with <Immortality> (who was, at one time, a top 10 PvE guild). It would have been easier to get honor, but the alliance on LH stopped queueing for anything but valley, and the PuGs started pushing 500k weeks with non-stop 15-30 minute valley games.

True story, they used over 1500g worth of consumables in WSG when we pre-arranged a game and dipsticked til we got each other. 5 flasks (3 titans, 2 supreme powers), Magic Dust (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=4512), more Mongoose/Brute Force/Greater Firepower/Greater Arcane Elixir/Invulnerability pots than I could ever hope to count. They had a fucking mage that BASE HIT 1900 fireballs with Ateish. Was pretty insane to say the least, but a really cheap win on their part.. 3-1 in an hour and a half.

Conq legs are much better than Sand Scaled. More AP, more stam, and more agi.

As far as titanic leggings, I would wager that he can't afford taking another hit on stam seeing as his HP is already extremely low for a warrior. It's not worth the small AP/crit tradeoff to give up another 250 HP. No warrior wants to get 1-shot.

the last time that i pvp'd semi-seriously was like december '05. most of the people in vodka that pvp now aren't quite so serious like we used to be and like macabre still is. i've been in vodka since like march 2005 and the people that you're seeing now aren't really the group that i think is the best representation of our skill. but back when we would run our groups, in the days of the double trinket ap mages, was when i was still having fun in pvp.

but yea, macabre has always excelled in pvp/pve. i'd like to say that we're better than them, mostly because they have an image of being pretentious assholes, but vodka and macabre have pretty much always been on the same level in pve.

hopefully in bc pvp will be renewed and we'll start up some pro arena teams. this one mage friend in our guild that always played with us xfered to korgath and got in dnt when they were hot shit during the start of naxx. he's going to xfer back after bc comes out i believe, mostly because he hates it there and it sounds like there's a lot of drama. so we'll have him back, probably will run a 5v5 group of hunter, mage, priest, war, pally.

Basically as Wonka pointed out I cannot sacrifice anymore HP, in pvp that is. PvE (dps) I sacrifice quite a bit more hp for more +hit etc. I think i have like a measly 4400hp in full pve gear but also end up with 15% hit, ~1250unbuffed ap and +7weapon skill. Having 0 stam on hatchet and iblis really blows in the hp department, atleast i hit like a monster heh. I really only pvp as fury while raiding (fuck respec costs) and because its more fun in my opinion. However in any real pvp outside of rolling pugs in BG's I respec MS and my HP comes to ~5200. Titanics would be better for PvE dps though, tobad im too cheap to buy/make them.

Wouldn't say they're much of a PvP squad. When you have a carrier in 7/9 DN, priests in near full faith popping invuln pots, basically all the gear and lame shit they used, etc., to even compete with a team of R13's & 14s whos PvE progression ends at Ossirian, I wouldn't say you're much of a PvP squad.
