View Full Version : What I've Become (New Avi featuring MD- MasterDog)
Wheaties[TCK]
November 1st, 2006, 08:42 PM
This is my fourth avi, this time featuring clips from MD(Masterdog). Unlike previous ones I used some features with sharpness and glow to increase the video quality (thnx akw). Also the compression is finally down to a good size with the audio being compressed properly (thnx harmony). I also messed around with some more hltv angles and special effects and added a little bit of a different intro from what you normally see from me. It took less than a week to put out. Any and all comments/criticism is welcomed as I would like to improve my avi making skills for the next one I am working on.
Enjoy.

corrupted? when i repaired it with WinRAR i opened it and found two .avi files; both the same name. one's 2 megs, the other's 100.
edit: neither of them work.
edit2: on second repair of the archive, one of the .avi files worked; great avi btw, reminds me of classic tfc with a better look :].

Oh, is this the one that masterdog was looking to pay someone to do? How much did you get? Heh, ah you don't have to answer that...watching now...

So what I don't have the time to spend to make avis.... my work schedule is tight working more than 40 hours a week 90 percent of the time.

I wasn't critizing you Masterdog, or wheaties, I was just wondering how much you paid, if you did. It's really not that important though.
It was a nice avi. The end was pretty cool. The overall quality was great also. My advice to improve you avi creating skills, wheaties, is to throw in some transitions. Personally, I don't know what else you could do with Vegas that you haven't already done/learned. Sure, there are alot of effects and stuff, but getting them to look good is the hard part. On the other hand, AfterEffects has a ton of effects and several presets that look "cool" without you figuring out how to make them look good - if that makes any sense. So, get AfterEffects and have fun.

I enjoy the short avi's but most of the plays are like mediocre/already done a billion times specially when you see them wait for the conc right at the position. I like avi's where you don't know whats going to happend right at the beginning of the play... but I guess after 5 years of the game there isn't anything new.
I suppose thats why I like defensive style plays more due to the fact they can always change.

in a few weeks i'm going to be crying to everyone, asking them to help me make an avi.
wheaties, any chance you could summarize your knowledge in a handy step by step tutorial, or a list of tips?
or would that basically be the same as what's already available on the cats and from the #hhmedia guys?

Post your specific or general questions in thread or something - maybe a list. I would be happy to answer them, and I'm sure anyone else who views these forums would be too. If you want a tutorial just state what program you are using and how much you already know about the process.

I wouldn't make a very readable understandable "tutorial". Also considering I still don't know "everything" I'd probably just make a fool of myself. However, if you have any questions you can always ask me, and if I can help I certainly will. However #hhmedia probably does have the most experienced people. There are some online tutorials. If you want you can probably find some here:

I was given that link, has some nice tutorials (with screenshots) on video Fx.
If I'm on irc and you have a question pm me Wheaties`
