Heres a match avi of me vs uC on fry_baked (a week or so ago?) I've been trying to learn some new avi tricks recently and decided to make a little match avi, i like watching highlights of ppls matches so i thought i'd give it a shot, although none of the plays are really that amazing, i really just wanted to do this to see how my quality would come out and i really like it, very smooth thx to Disken. and its run at around 35-40 fps so its a little slower than usual. and its only 1:30 38mb so its nothin special, just dl if ur bored ;p

maybe it's just me, but it keeps freezing and it doesn't run smooth AT ALL, maybe it's my codecs or something, but something definetly seems wrong with it. nice plays though

Play it threw DivX. Im guessing fatal used an xvid codec.

When I playback my tfc demos, it does the same thing. Probably even worse. I don't know how to fix it. I thought I did once when I tried to use a special demo viewing config, but I guess not. It all started happening when a got an X850 XT video card. I really don't think it's a frame rate issue. If you recorded at a different frame rate than what you render your movie as, you'll have a constant slowing or speeding up of clips. From what I remember in the avi, it was smooth for like half a second, then it lagged, and repeated.
Always, does anyone have a special config or anything that would change the way you playback your demos?

What do you mean? A config with bindings to say mouse that let you do stuff like fast-forward/rewind, speedup/slowdown, pause/play, etc?

No, not movement, but for quality or other things. The one I saw had alot of commands being set to different values. Come to think of it, I really don't think in my situation a change of configs will solve the problem though. So forget what I said.

if your record at 90-100 fps (startmovie bajshlhalshal 100) then make the framerate 30 when turning the bmps into an avi, it will come out that smooth.

you forgot to add -then speed up the clip to realtime.
