Me and my friend spent all day playing the co-op, and yes it rocks. The multi-player is just as good as the single player.

COD2 was awesome i don't know where u get worn out from. But id recommend GoW just cause its a new style. Also on Hardcore game is really a challenge.

my only complaint so far is that in small rooms with windows when you are trying to strategically get covered you just end up bouncing off the walls instead of doing what you want to do, like roll out the door or roll over the window

your squadmates are complete idiots (im playing on hardcore i finish 3 out of 4 fights as the only one standing)

i got the reload achievements unlocked before first mission :P

getting perfect reload with sniper rifle, magnum, and shotgun is the shit

I guess I'm in the minority here and maybe I've been playing FPS for way too long but I hate it.

It's just too much like all the ID Software games. Except with lots of hiding behind crap. Big combat guys with guns. Yay.
I just can't get into it. I'm going to give it more time though.

Maybe if I could use a keyboard. Halo was hard enough for me to adapt to.
The controls are just maddening. I'm just an old fart, I guess. Too into my own ways. :)

im having a great time playing online, although the guys who dont fire one shot and just chainsaw bayonet the whole match get on my nerves, as do the guys who just run around grenade tagging people

thats the point though, its too easy, the fact that when you melee you lock onto players and dash forward and you can melee anything in like a 5-7 foot radius hurts the multiplayer....its so sad because ive been shotgunning for like nearly 2 days now against grenade and chainsaw sluts who dont even fire one shot the entire match

you cannot grenade stick someone or chainsaw someone if they are shooting you. Some guy tried to chainsaw me and i just melee'd him twice with the shotgun and put him on the ground. It is easy to avoid chainsaw/grenade sticking.

its pretty ez imho to shotgun someone in the face even blind-firing, try that next time, and make sure to pan around a lot too so you dont get supprised

Sorry to bump this thread, but this game owns. Played through casual and that was cake; on hardcore now and though tougher, it's much funner, too. I love cutting fuckers with the mini-chainsaw. Has there been any talk about a sequel? The ending certainly made a sequel look promising...

I see a movie is being made about it, lol...

I've wanted to go back and play it on hardcore/insane (whatever the highest difficultly is) but have not gotten a chance to.

I liked the game, although theres a few parts that just make me want to hurt people (mine carts).

The ending to Gears of War heavily suggested a sequel is in the works, and at the 2007 Game Developers Conference, Bleszinkski (lead designer) confirmed that Epic Games does "intend to do a sequel" to Gears of War

Making a sequel would only make sense really

LOL. In my first day ever touching Gears I decided to check the multiplayer out -- got my ass called out by a 12-year-old girl for "sucking" too much (it actually may have been a boy, who knows).

GoW for pc is good. No bugs except installing update to run the game when you first install. It was still broke even when i bought it months after "the fix" when i got it running the game is good but boring for me on pc. the xhairs and shooting are clearly designed for a controller. gotta be honest, im a bit bored of it. I wont be buying gow2 for pc.
