I plan to get the Wii on launch day, but I have a couple of questions first.
Would I be better off going to best buy or fry's to wait in line?
How many hours ahead of time should I get there?
For the two stores, are they doing a midnight launch or launch the next morning when they open?
I'm going with my brother, and am thinking of getting a 2nd one to sell on ebay...how much do you think I could get for it?
Thanky

As far as ebay is concerned, you wouldn't get that much of a profit. Nintendo has advertised that it will ship a few million systems, as compared to Sony's 400k (I believe). So if he gets one, he'd want to sell it right away. I plan on simply strolling into a store sometime during the morning and picking one up, I assume they will be around enough that I don't have to devote my night/morning to picking one up. Maybe I'm overly optimistic.

most major retail stores (bb, cc, fry, etc) do morning releases, only like eb, gamestop, gamecrazy may do some midnight releases but those are pretty much reserved out. as far as what time to get there, depending on where you live (major suburb) i'd say 2am at the latest to be guarenteed and system on release day. buying on selling on ebay as said before really isnt the greatest idea your really not going to be seeing double profit on the wii seeing as how the u.s orders are very large. even when major retail stores sell out, the next shipment of systems will be seen on the shelves only a mere 2-3 days later

if i decided to get one on launch, i'm just gonna sit in my car an hour before Fred Meyers opens.

places like Best Buy, you should just spend the night lol

Unless you're trying to sell one on Ebay the day of, I wouldn't waste the time to spend that night at place just to get a system. You'll have one within a few days anyway if you go buy one.
