Dirty disk errors on xbox

I have recently been getting A LOT of dirty disk errors on the Xbox. This has happened only once before on Fable and wasn't frequent at all. But for some reason, I get them on Madden '07 very often. What's the deal? This disk is BRAND NEW and has no scratches.

Yeah, I used to get this error alot too with Dead Rising. I unplugged everything (including the harddrive) and then re-connected it all again. I also play with it flat on the ground instead of sticking straight up, like I did when I got the errors.

I've never gotten the error ever since I did this, maybe it will do the same for you.
