Coming here I'm not really expecting anyone to like these guys but I thought it was worth putting up. New song is called insects off the album "our puzzling encounters considered" coming up in January. It's a fast paced metal with lots of tapping/hammering/pulling off shit. I actually remember seeing this song live because 2 weeks before I went to their show I seen a new video on the song so I was pumped to see it live. Everything sounded the exact same and from the video to the show to this new recording (so it's not like improv or anything like that).

Meh...I only expected those comments anyways since no one here really likes the music I'm into.
Regardless I'm going to see them play for a second time with see you next tuesday, acacia strain, daath, and job for a cowboy. Seeing that you're into Acacia strain you should maybe consider checking that tour out (although I'm not sure if Acacia Strain is on the entire tour) and who knows! maybe you'll grow to like psyopus. I can't see how you can stand grind but not psyopus since most grind can actually get amazingly annoying. See you next Tuesday is sick. My old band played with them once and the guitarist had to use my guitar head!! Which is cool to say seeing they're on ferret records now. BUT! After seeing Job for at robot mosh fest 06, I've got to say I'm really not looking forward to seeing their set again. Talk about an over hyped band that is generic as fuck
Seeing it live (psyopus) helped me appreciate it more and was one of the craziest performances I've ever seen. Not only because of the one shredding guitarist that was overly creative but their shredding bassist too! Kinda crazy how they only have one guitarist haha. Reminds me of this experimental band www.myspace.com/sleepterror who should get their own thread for how fucking awesome they are.
if anyone cares..here's that video of that song so you get an idea of what I mean by seeing their guitarist/bassist live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvP_Vx1qhwQ

Sleepterror is really good. And jfac is completely overhyped, they made music that appeals to people who don't even like the genre, thats what made them so popular. Do you like Animosity stk? they're one of my favorite bands

Yeah animosity is alright. Seen them play at a 2 dollar show 5 minutes from my house with dead to fall (I'm a huge fan of dead to falls live performance since I seen them with Acacia) and I also seen animosity at robot mosh fest. Robot mosh was basically a 2 day fest held in a roller rink in Wisconsin, about 700 showed up or were at least estimated there. Bands like Ion Dissonance, Suicide Silence, Tony Danza TDE, Animosity, JFAC, All Shall Perish, HeWhoCorrupts, Sleep Terror, From a Second Story Window and some others played. Beneath the Massacre what supposed to show but they got caught up at the canadian/us border.

Dead to fall is one of the worst bands I've ever seen live, I can't believe you like them. I couldn't stop laughing for like 10 minutes then I wanted them to shut up cause the singer can't scream. Acacia is the best live, vincent is my hero

The singer is so badass. The entire band even sounds badass live. They headlined robot mosh fest 06 (and even some previous ones) and definitely had one of the best sets there other than ion dissonance. Seen dtf three times and haven't seen one bad show yet. Maybe it's just because they're a band from Chicago that used to play local shows and got big (me being a person who's from chicago)...regardless they are one of the bands that started off what is now known as metalcore and definitely know how to put together a good song.

The bassist from Ion Dissonance takes pride in kicking people in the head while onstage.
