BMP conversion

so, i'm converting the BMP files from the startmovie command into jpegs because they take up a fraction of the space, right
i had 2,500 BMPs from these clips in this demo before i ran out of space.
i started up the batch process in photoshop to resize them to 800x600 and save them as jpegs on my other drive
it's been 9 hours and i have just over 100 BMPs left to go.

there's got to be a better way to do this.
what's a good program for resizing and converting BMP files to something that takes up less space?

why bother converting them? just make the small avi in vdub, and delete them. :p

I'm pretty sure if u convert them to jpeg it shrinks the visual size of the vid. Kinda like ur watching it through a small hole in the wall.

open the first bmp in vdub, filters>add>resize 640x480 or w/e. then compress them all and dlete the bmps
