I'm trying to archive the internet slowly but surely using photo slide shows :0
The concept is very simple, but I want to expand on it. What do you guys think I should add?

that's a cool idea, in the future once you edit your own site, id add your site on the list too, and show your progress, as you add other websites; and change layouts and such

well I'm getting all my screen shots from archive.org and the cats didn't really change that much. I mean Archive only has the green layout. i remember the old blue but they don't have it :(

How about Myspace and eBay?

ebay is hard cause archive keeps putting grey boxes over all the images that cant load making the screen shots look shitty. myspace uses robots.txt to block outside bots from crawling their system, so archive wasn't able to get any data. I think the reason myspace initially did this was to force people to use their search engine and not search for myspace on google or other search engines. After murdoch took the reigns robots disappeared, but it sucks now for ppl like me who are looking into the past :/

There have been three, www.planetfortress.com/catacombs was the original, then www.catacombsnews.com (the blue one you referred to), and the current www.thecatacombs.net . However though, each site was differently made and coded, so in a sense they aren't the same site but rather just the same name and mildly similar staff.

doh now it's all coming back to me, it did change domains.
Edit: Well I got a good screen shot of the planet fortreess version, but catacombsnews I can't get :/ It does the grey box thing that ebay is doing
