i never take medicine and i never talk/go to the doctors...

anyway, i just got sick out of no where, felt fine them boom. my eyes felt wierd, like they were having trouble focusing, and i had to throw up, so i did. when i did so, it was one of the most painful things i have ever felt, seriously. it felt like i was actually throwing up my stomach. i wanted to stop my i just had to throw up. now it feels like my stomach is going to pop, when i push my stomach out/flex my abs, if that makes any sense. i few days ago i got a really bad pain in my stomach out of no where, and it was pretty freaking bad. i used to bathroom and it went away a little. i still have that same feeling and i dont have to use the bathroom. i was just curious if this is just my body being my body but i dunno. but yeah, it was really bad pain, even went up my back. is this normal for other people?

like i said i never talk/go to the doctors, was just curious if you guys on the forum might know if i have something funky or its just me being a little sick. maybe i should call the doctors i dunno, theyre closed anyway... thanks

Stomach flu usually hits you hard for about 12-24 hours and then you'll feel drained for the next few days. You shouldn't be throwing up after the first day though.

You should consider food poisoning too. Did you eat anything that may have been spoiled or not cooked properly? Stomach flu is generally accompanied by a fever and lack of normal stomach function (ie feeling hunger, etc).

I'd guess stomach virus but I'm not a doctor. I got sick to my stomach twice last week. Both came after I was laying down to go to sleep. The first night I was up off and on for about 3 hours until 2:30am throwing up. The worst part of it was that it wasn't a drunk throw up where you do it and you're done. I was dry heaving and puking up stomach acids and the next day I could barely eat because I just felt like crap. My body was in the worst shape because I felt like I'd been put on a rack after dry heaving so much. Multiple people I talked to had either had a similar experience in the last few weeks or knew someone that did.

Norovirus probably. It's been going around. Most common around this time of year because everyone is indoors around each other.

How you get it: Contact with the virus, either direct (person-to-person) or by touching some surface / object that an infected person touched. Also if you are within close proximity to a toilet (hopefully a toilet and not the floor :p) where someone just vomited or defecated.

How to avoid it: Thorough hand washing!!! Often! Wash fruits/veggies and cook all your food completely.

My coworker's family seemed to all get it recently. Apparently this thing hits hard for the first 12-24 hours and then the person will feel very weak for the next 24 hours. After that they are good as new. Just remember to keep drinking liquids. You will be dehydrated.

The end.
