I just got a new (used) truck. 04 Dodge Dakota with 48,000 miles which is much better than my 1992 chevy s10 with 166,000 miles. It's a beautiful truck but it has an ugly silver camper on it. Now the guy told me I could easily take it off by removing the clamps from the inside. I came home and did that but this things stuck to the truck with some sort of amazing adhesive. If I go back to the dealer and they won't take it off, how do I get the camper off?

is there like a pair of legs that come down on it that would hit the ground so u could lift it up off of the back of your truck

if you dont care about messing the camper shell up, try to get between the foam padding and the shell with long flat blade screwdriver and start prying with a little forc3. you will probably have to go around the whole thing to break it loose.

it's probably not glue but it could be oxidized (rust) inbetween the camper and truck fenders where water can settle. in either case, you're going to lose paint which is why you don't want to do it yourself. take it to an accessory shop and i'm sure it can be taken care of quick & cheap.

if it is adhesive try a razor blade/sharp blade. Use it gently though.

A few sticks of TNT should do the trick.
