yeah so i got something else wrong with me. ive asked the doctor about it and they said its just my muscles that its nothing to worry about. im not really worried about it, im just curious if anyone else gets this, its fucking annoying...

when i yawn, 90% of them time something in my throat snaps out of place. so when i swallow it hurts really bad. i usually tilt my head way back and it snaps back into place. this has been happening for about 2 years or so. about a month ago, i cant get it to snap back into place, what ever it is. it usually takes like a day, usually in my sleep and i wake up, that its normal again. like what the fuck.

so yeah, does this happen to anyone else? should this be cesspooled? lol

i think i know what you're talking about. its like the tendon snaps out of alignment in your neck and it fucking brutally hurts and i have to tilt my head in such a way that i can feel it snap back into place, then the pain instantly stops. i think that it has something to do with not eating a good enough diet. iirc, if your body lacks potassium, then your muscles can do weird things like that. anyways, i started to drink lots more water and i ate better. it hasn't happened in a long time. it also may be due to stress.

sometimes when i yawn i get a muscle cramp like a charley horse between my chin and throat, in that lower jaw portion. it can usually hurt pretty well and i have to massage it out. luckily it only happens maybe 2-3 times a year.

I had that happen a couple times. Use your thumb and press the middle area there (soft spot area below the chin and above the adam's apple). It will fix it.

This happens to me daily. Do as Street said. There is a muscle or tendon you just have to press on, it'll slide into normal position and you can swallow fine.

I have them once or twice a month and they are horrible. Rubbing them off is the way to go.

yep exactly what happens with me, ill yawn or be chewing gum, and my jaw will pop, and its always my left side jaw. makes it pretty much impossible to chew, drink etc. it hurts :P

happens to me too. I usually grab on to it real hard right when I feel the pain and the cramp doesn't happen. Just like pressing the muscle back into position or whatever.

every now and then my jaw (where it connects to skull[iguess?]) will click out and lock. its quite painful, i can still move it, but it feels like it is about to fall off. I either have to click it back, or if its too bad, put it back in with my hands, dislocation maybe?.

also, anyone else have knee pains, like, it hurts to move it.
other with knee, you step too far forward and it feels like your knee is bending the wrong way every time you step?

Some of you are describing symptoms of TMJ. One of my ex-gf's had (has) TMJ, and it appeared to be more than a little unpleasant. Anything that can make a 5 foot 90-100 pound girl curse and sound like an angry trucker with a mouthful of chaw has to be a bit annoying.

To the OP: sounds like your hyoid bone is getting tangled up (yes, there is a free-standing bone in your throat.) Just try to avoid the conditions that cause it for the time being. I wouldn't worry too much.

Oh thank jesus. This happens to me occasionally. I thought I had a tumor in there or something.

It sounds like you have some loose tendons/ligaments.

Hehe I do this as well. The cramping used to be a problem till I learned to "catch" it as it happens. I use my hand to push it into place, and kind of tighten my jaw muscles to stop it at the same time. Goes away before it even starts. :)
