jpg cleanup/sharpen help

this is a logo for the band im in, and when we saved the text to the pic, it became all blurred around the edges of the text, if anyone can help me, would be greatly appreciated.

Antialiasing.

When you have the text tool selected, at the top there should be a dropdown that has {None, Sharp, Crisp, Strong, Smooth}.

Toy with that.

anything in paint that will work... i have already 1 time, took the eraser and cleaned it up, letter by letter, but once i went and saved, it reappeared

It's not just the antialiasing, it's been saved with too much compression and that's what is causing the horrid halos around the lettering.

if you save your logo as a 24-bit bitmap type in paint, there will not really be any noticable loss of quality, but the size of the file will be considerably larger

That font is naturally a piece of shit. I had to use a grey stroke to make it look like this. Still not great though...

You play "electronic folk with a bluegrass twist..." and you named your band Killateral? And you're using a "logo" with a set of brass knuckles and blood droplets and some faggoty script font with enough trailing strokes to choke a horse? I had you pegged for either nu-metal or a Ministry/Mars Volta cover band.

I got an idea. Let's all come up with a better name for an electronic bluegrass folk band!
