good eye drops while wearing contacts?!?

my eyes are fuckin dry 24/7 so im currently wearing my glasses cuz my eyes burn and sting so bad when i wear my contacts while they are so dry. i was wondering if anyone here knows any good 'safe-for-contacts' eye drops?

I have severe dry eyes, so it's hard to keep in contacts for long periods of time. I should be getting Lasik soon though to fix the problem. Visine is a popular brand, but it doesn't work for me. I prefer Allergan Refresh Contacts. It works pretty well or atleast well enough for me to keep my contacts in when I'm out and around.

yeah allergan refresh contacts is the best stuff for you. i worked at my familys optometry place and that was what we always recommended. i use them myself and they are great. but never use visine with contacts.

You might also look into getting a new brand of contact if you're wearing something like Acuvue 2. I'm wearing Acuvue Oasys and they say they're supposed to be better in terms of getting dry. I think they're probably a little better, but I haven't noticed a huge difference.

It's something to look into, maybe they're a lot better if you're someone who always feels like they have dry eyes.

I'm on Acuvue Oasys. It was the last brand left that I could use. I think I went through 6-7 different brands. They even special ordered the Proclear contacts for me a few years ago, but that dried out right when I put it in my eye and took it out. Oasys does work the best though out of every one I've used.

do not use visine. thats the worst shit u can put into your eyes. my mom is an opthamoligist and she tells me all the time never to use visine. Alcon is a really good brand of eye drops, most eye doctors use their shit, like their Refresh tears, and their shit for contacts as well. It's a little more expensive than say Visine, Rhoto V, but that stuff is cheap for a reason....and your eyes aren't something you wanna put the cheap stuff in just bc. =)

dont use any eyedrops that relieve redness such as visine. theyre horrible for your eyes and mess em up in the long run. eventually making them get redder and drier faster and faster with more frequent use.

get something thats supposed to be a natural lubricant for the eyes, theres plenty of eyedrops usually something like renew tears or something.
