i'm currently paying 7.99 a month for my xbox live account and want to buy the 12 month gold card but my question is will xbox allow me to transferr over my current live account to the 12 month card? or will I have to make a whole new account?

oh yeah amazon had the 12 month card for 39.99 last week but now they want $47, I found it on newegg for 39.99 + 4.99 for shipping. anyone know any other places that sell it for $40? my best bet is newegg as of right now.
