Yeah I tried that, I just can't get into the PvP aspect of the game. The learning curve is incredibly steep, I like melee-types; the whole follow-and-attack thing feels stupid. I have, however, beaten all 3 campaigns.

Just traded my rogue for a priest, which is pretty much fully epic'd out. I had all the lvl 70 pvp gear + few epics working on my gladitor gear. We both pvp together now though lol.. its sweet though.

edit: I out dps him as disc.. soon going shadow once I get better gear. Yet, I have all the Whitemen Tailor gear + Mooncloth tailoring and the 298 + healing mace from I believe Kara.

Terreo is right, if you want to PvP, a rogue might not be a good choice. In arenas they aren't completely useless, but are probably one of the less effective and least used. If you can manage to level your paladin, you will do very well in arenas. Pretty much every arena team plays a paladin due to the utility they bring.

If you spec holy as paladin, you can do PvP as well as PvE (granted you want to heal and aren't a retardadin). Other classes, i.e. warriors/mages/rogues, don't have this luxury.

i like retribution but i have been considering how it will be in high instances and realized that me finding somewhere to DPS is very unlikely and i will probably get killed without a shield

i tried rogue because it was one of the two classes i never tried before, warlock being the other one. its fun so far but its really hard to solo some shit especially if i get mobbed

im not really a fan of the whole pet thing for hunter/lock tho

As great as prot pallies are tanking 5 mans, I don't think its something you would be satisfied playing. Think of it this way, you won't be able to PvP well, you will be outclassed in your role by druids and warriors for most non-trivial content, and you won't have many other play style options if you don't like healing. From the sounds of things, I would almost recommend the warrior class specifically for you. You get to DPS, tank if needed (you can do 5 mans fine without a prot spec), and still PvP if you want to.

Best combo for 2v2 is either Warlock / Shadow Priest or 2 Rogues IMO. I've played my priest with my friend Jayunit and we are like 18-2 then me and some random rogue pretty much own anything but a paladin / warrior combo too much armor.

a 1900 rating for a 3v3 team is like 700, 2v2 would be like 650, 5v5 750 i guess. if you hit 70 with shit gear and try to join a team you'll prolly get like 100-200 a week lol

i play horde on mugthol altho im having a lot of trouble making up my mind on which character i want to play since i have access to like 6 level 60+ horde characters (like 2 i leveled, the rest are friends who have quit etc).

To be honest, for a PvE server Dalaran isn't too bad at pvp; it's just nowhere near the best. The guilds are pretty solid on both horde and alliance side, although alliance raids progress faster. The number of complete assbags is fairly low, too.

tonight my guild beat tidewalker, being our last boss before vashj in ssc. we're the first guild in our server to have done so. we activated all the consoles, and got to watch the cool bridge animation. being as late as it was (took forever to find a good strat on this boss, and as soon as we found it, we one-shotted him), we decided to bail out of ssc, but we decided to give our greetings to vashj before parting.

After a lot of thought and deliberation, we’ve decided to remove the attunement requirements to enter Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye. While many of our attunements in the Burning Crusade have been good progression checks, a few of the attunements have turned out to cause unnecessary stress on guilds either doing the content or attempting to do the content. With Black Temple and Battle for Mount Hyjal thriving, we want to encourage (rather than prevent) new guilds and raid groups to attempt Serpentshrine and TK. We are going to leave the current attunement quests in the game so that players can still engage in the challenge and the lore of those quests should they choose to. At a later point, we are considering adding a final reward step to those quests as well (that way those who have already completed them would not miss out on a *new* reward).

We’re listening to feedback from you guys constantly and your opinions are important to us. We want this game to be the best possible MMO experience for our players.

What do you guys expect? Blizzard always caters towards the scrubs. It happens over and over again. Scrubs cant kill Gruul, Gruul nerfed. Scrubs cant kill bosses in SSC, SSC nerfed. Scrubs cant kill stuff in Kara, Kara nerfed. Some people are so absolutely terrible at this game, I wonder how they can even accomplish anything.

no, because if you didn't have season 1 gladiator before, you are going to have a fucking hard time getting season 2 stuff. it's blizzards bad planning set in motion. basically any just recently hit 70 is going to have to work MUCH harder to get season 2 gear.

it's stupid because blizzard basically nullified anyway rerollers (like 80% of this thread is) can get geared up without slowly losing their way to gear first. arena is a gear fight. don't believe me? i can link you to a stormherald warrior with 2k+ rating in every bracket. the punchline there is he has a max of 4 keybindings and clicks everything else. oh, and he also keyboard turns.

heroics are out of the quest with the retarded revered requirement aswell. maybe not so much for classes constantly sought after, but even now as my rogue i know it's basically impossible for me to get attuned to any heroic by instance grinding.
