Say you were forced to be able to listen to one album the rest of your life. What would this be? For me, it definitely has to be Rush - Moving Pictures. It's my favorite progressive album, and definitely contends for the spot of my favorite album. There is not a single bad song on this album and every song is great and always enjoyable. YYZ is a very catchy instrumental, Tom Sawyer is 100% badass driven, and while the rest of the album, aside from Limielight and Red Barchetta, are not strong tracks compared to those, but they aren't filler crap and some of the better, lesser known songs that you don't hear on the radio.

Great choice knox! Rush fucking rules. Geddy Lee has always held my soul in his hand, as I am a fellow bass player. For myself, I'd probably have to choose Eliot Fisk's interpretation of Paginini's 24 Caprices. The man is a virtuoso classical guitarist, never seems to not impress me. Hearing him play such beautiful guitar could get me through any situation life may offer. Either that, or Wintersun "Wintersun", fucking incredible. Amazing that it is Jari Maenpaa performing everything but the drums, quite inspiring.

For some reason that I cannot explain, this album is by far my favorite of alltime and one that I can listen to as much as my heart wants.

If i was put in a situation where I had to choose only one album to listen to for the rest of my life it would have to be a pretty shitty situation.. like getting put on a desert island or in some sort of prison. In which case I would bring Amon Amarth - Versus the World and just pretend to be a fucking badass Viking on a mission to rape the world and live like a barbarian. I'd probably go insane anyway, I'd rather go out believing I'm the fucking man :) And Amon Amarth makes me feel that way when I listen to them.

If greatest hits are allowed it'd be Don't You Know Who I Think I Was?: The Best of the Replacements. If not...I don't know, probably The Replacements' Let it Be. Maybe Sugar - Copper Blue or Revolver.

Probably gonna catch some shit for this from all you uber music buffs, but Linkin Park "Hybrid Theory" would certainly be up there for me. I have a bunch of others, but that would ruin the point of the thread.

I prefer the circle head banging in Cry of The Black Birds myself. It just seems to stand out more.

Opeth - Ghost reveries.

The band isn't my #1 pick but that album is about the most amazing piece of music I heard in last 3 years seems to never get boring.
