no one posts stuff so il try to liven it up a bit with my sad excuses for figure drawings. so i took a class for high school juniors and seniors (im a junior) at the mass college of art here in boston for a few weeks. it was interesting, and my third fig. drawing class. its not really anatomy studies or anything, since their is a wide variety of people with different experience or no experience whatsoever.

enjoy pictures from my 1.3 MP camera. everything is in charcoal except the 1 in sharpie. a lot of the drawings are very dark, but the flash on the camera (which is broken and wont go off) brightens them up a lot (and i personally like them darker).

a few gestures first? ok!

- close ups of top left and bottom

strange collage (30 mins each drawing) - we did 3 intense zoom in drawings of various body parts on the model onto 24x36 (or w/e big newsprint is), hopefully rendering them indeciperable at the end. then we were asked to put them together into some kind of composition without altering them. i didnt do anything drastic putting them together =

- bottom - http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k5/ryanm132/p1.jpg
- top right - http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k5/ryanm132/p2.jpg

who can guess what the top left and bottom are? I'll tell you the top right is a piece of cloth (since its not body)

the "finished drawings"

"NWS?" - its nude close up of a woman's chest area...done in sharpie. i drew it out in pencil first cause i thought it was an hour pose, and after shading like half of the arm he said times up. so i took it home and made up all of the shading (which explains stuff being off)

draw the model, then put them in a scene/scenario of our liking (make one up to fit the pose)...i believe 35 min pose, 20 min or so for the bg.

just draw the model. 30 mins.
