Bands similar to ELO?

I'm looking for good bands that play music similar to ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). Does anybody know of any that they can reccommend? I'm not even sure what genre of music they fall under.

TYVM, this is quite a useful site and I see they have a list of similar artists.

Even though they have completely different sounds, I've always thought Three Dog Night carried some sort of resemblance to ELO. There's some obscure similarity between the two that I can't quite put my finger on.
