Ion Dissonance - Minus the Herd

Been checking every single day for the past month till last night when it leaked.

the new cd sounds nothing like ion dissonance which is kind of disappointing, although, it is the most brutal release I've ever heard. With that said the first song the surge is amazing (saw it live a month or so ago), and of me... nothing is safe and void of conscience deserve honorable mentions.

If you're a fan of meshuggah this cd is definitely for you

It has the heavy elements produced in meshuggah albums with weird jazzy type riffs that remind you of dillinger escape plan. The new singer definitely fits the new sound pretty well.

Was so excited for this, but it doesn't come anywhere close to the others.

true but the band did what they were aiming for. They released what they thought as to be the most brutal cd they could release. I think they are trying to appeal to bigger crowds and I'd hate to say it but overall get bigger. At least I think that's why they would drop the chaotic/technical aspect of their 2 previous releases and just do a groove/hardcore meshuggah type of release.

soooooo repetative, this is the first of their cd's ive heard and I disliked it quite a bit, sorry stk :(

dunno why sd. It's like a better version of acacia strain. Just faster paced with a tiny bit more of shreading, and definitely better groove.
