With all the back and forth talk about trades where do you see him going? A lot of chatter has been going around, the main teams with the most to offer from what I've been hearing are, Boston, Phoenix, Dallas and Chicago. Any ideas?

I can see him in Chicago...but I'm crossing my fingers for the Raptors, as long as Bosh stays -.-

I actually remember Kobe saying something about wanting to play in Toronto but that was years ago. I'm not sure what kind of deal Toronto could work out though. We've got nothing I can really see the Lakers wanting that we'd be willing to give up. And it wouldn't solve the main problem the Raptors have had for years. No true center. But I guess that's true for a lot of teams.

Magic Johnson will play for the raptors before Kobe will. They'd have to auction off everything they own, trade five years' worth of picks, and would be burdened by a contract payed out for over ten years past the time he would end up playing there. It's the equivelent of a Rangers fan thinking Dice-K was coming to pitch at Texas.

What a pipe dream. Ranks up there with 'Cardinals go to the superbowl this year!!1!'

I see 1 thread, entitled Kobe demands a trade. Most of it as back and forth talk about his request blah blah. This thread is about what team he will ultimately end up with. I know popular opinion thinks I'm an idiot but I can in fact read, thanks for the update though.

He'll go nowhere this year being under contract for at least 2 more years before he can walk. The Laker FO will try to get help and depending how that pans out if they're going to trade him it will be during the season following this next one before he walks. I don't see the Lakers trading their biggest draw for up and comers. Jerry Buss is unfortunately getting up there in age and deferring more and more to his son Jim who's a fucking moron and should stick to horses. Jim Buss is the one who's in love with Bynum and wouldn't consider trading him for Gasol or Kidd when talks of their availability was floating around.

There are like 20 posts in there about potential trade partners and what not, it's in like the middle 3rd.

I just wanted a thread to discuss that specifically, instead of having to read all the haters talking shit about him leaving or demanding the trade. I don't care that he demanded a trade I just wanted to discuss where he'd go. You guys are so fucking drama filled bitches jeez... If you want to post in the other thread feel free. This is a specific thread discussing a specific topic. Go hate in the other thread about why he wants to be traded.

I honestly think he'll stay with the Lakers. His circumstance makes it very improbable for him to get traded:
-He wants to be with a contender: Obviously the team he gets traded to will have to give up alot to get him, which means they'll have to still be considered a contender after they lose thier players for him. This is why a team like Toronto wouldn't work; the Lakers would want Bosh and atleast one other good player in return for Kobe but it'd just be the same problem with the Lakers all over again. Kobe, a decent player or two, and a bunch of scrubs.
-Will want to go to a good city to live: Going on with the Toronto example, why would he rearrange his whole life to get a slightly better team at the most when he won't be as happy with the place he's living? There are only a couple cities I could see fulfilling this (nyc, miami, boston, etc).

The two teams I can see him going to where they'll still be a contender after they trade thier players for him are Phoenix and Dallas.

He will end up in Los Angeles, playing for the Lakers.

chauncey, sheed, rip, and webber for Kobe. Then draft actual good people to be around Prince and Kobe.
