Well worth the download, it's the countdown to fights on the card for the elite XC show. Any MMA fan should check it out. I wasn't really interested in this fight but the countdown really has me anxious to watch the entire card now.

This card is pretty good. I'd say it stands up well to the bullshit card UFC put together for this weekend. I'd much rather watch Frank kill that piece of garbage called Baroni then any fight on the ufc this weekend.

I'd have to agree, UFC 72 looks pathetic, I have little interest in the fights. I kind of want to see how Griffin does, he needs a win or he's going to be in rough shape but not enough to pay to see it. And Franklin's fight....... BORING. This card looks fantastic.

Not sure where you're getting the idea that frank shamrock is washed up, he was one of the greatest we've ever seen in his weight class and obliterated the UFC. The guy won 10 fights in a row against some decent competition and lost his last fight via DQ (that was shady as fuck). Shamrock looks to be in fantastic shape, still has his mobility and flexibility. Where you get the idea he's washed up? He's definitely not like Ken, that's for sure.

Uhm, this is an MMA thread, I'm going to guess you meant an MMA forum. Personally I don't think that's really nessecary considering there's barely any real sports news to speak of 90% of the year. The few MMA threads that pop up don't really require a whole other forum. If you don't like sports in general why view the forum at all?

On a side note, my Brock lesnar thread was back on June 2nd, today's the 15th...also why is there no real reason? Morton used to be an NFL star who had ONE MMA fight and happens to be the only fighter in the athletic commisson's history to REFUSE a drug test post fight. My Royce Gracie thread is HUGE news to the MMA community as Royce Gracie is one of the legends of the sport over the past 15 years. That's very news worthy. Wtf's the problem, 4 threads in 2 weeks is bothering you? Wtf is the beef?

Ok so we should make 5 seprate threads NFL, NBA, NHL, MMA, MLB and all content related to those areas needs to be concentrated into the ONE thread. It's not like the admins made a locker room so that people could discuss sports right? What? Frank looked like shit, sorry. If Baroni wasn't such a no-talent fighter, Frank would have been rocked in the 2nd round. Seriously, what were those fairy spins he'd do every time he got hit? If Baroni wouldn't have been so exhausted from being raped the 1st round, he could have easily laid Frank out.

1st round Frank looked good; 2nd round Frank looked like a comedian. Baroni has always been a fairly shitty fighter so the result was a no-brainer. People claiming this is one of the best fights they've seen need to get a clue or watch more of MMA.

i don't know why your getting so worked up over it... nobody considered this to be anywhere near the best fight ever... but it was rather suprisingly pleasant to watch... well maybe because i wasnt expecting much from these two... the card as an entire event was actually pretty good.

Hardly worked up over a fight like this, but I laugh when you say Frank looked good. How exactly did Frank look good? Yeah he taunted Baroni the first round which was amusing, and he landed some nice hits which were nice; however, it was pathetic he couldn't finish Baroni off in the 1st round when he was wobbling from the illegal hits to the back of the head.

The 2nd round, Frank looked like shit. Baroni was exhausted and was still able to keep himself composed well enough to endure Frank's outdated fighting tactics. I couldn't believe it when Baroni would hit Frank and Frank would spin around like he was a Ballerina dancer.

ive heard of cung le but never seen him fight...fryklund just was a walking heavy bag for cung le to kick..geeezz....was within shooting range to take him down like 1/2 the match...yet never even attempted a takedown....

cung le is a good striker.....thats like a HW standing around and trying to bang/strike CroCop and not take him down at all = stupid! (cept G Gonzaga fight obviously for CC).

let cung le fight a good GnP'er in 185 class ...... = game ova

I'd like to see him fight Thales Leites....not a "big name" UFC middleweight who has a very good ground game.....Leites would sub Cung Le... 2EZ
