Was just fiddling around with my new telephoto lens at work this morning and was really more interested in shooting the plane, but I was quite pleased with the way the contrail so robustly parallels the building top...

So who else has examples of negative space they'd like to share? Photos, drawings, sand art, post 'em up!

now, negative space is the 'space' between the objects?
im with Tys here, I know some about it.
Also, it has something to do with lines, right, as you've pointed out, but the lines as a whole throughout an image?

Here's a good discussion of it ( http://www.slrtoday.com/articles/294/1/Positive-and-Negative-Space-in-Photography/Page1.html) , since I wasn't sure I could express it quite correctly, but in my basic understanding it's a picture or photo wherein the subject is surrounded by quite a lot of nearly nothing (and usually somewhat off-center), be it sky, ground, a wall, etc., in a manner that is asthetically pleasing.
