I'd like to first say if this kid makes it to 40 i'd be impressed. I've seen people that look old for their age but with all this extra draft coverage ive seen more and more pics of a person that already looked to me like he was 45. I know it sucks to have a babyface up until a certain age but the man is literally going to look like he's 70 by the time he's 30. Sure he's going to make NBa millions but i don't think a single girl that sleeps with him will be for his looks.

I don't judge basketball players on looks personally.

Can't wait to see him play.

Whatever man. not everyone can have great looks. Some people get the huge 7' body, basketball skills, and millions of dollars instead. Damn if I wouldn't trade good looks for that. All that will get you more hotties that being a good-looking loser anyway.

If looks are any indication expect Bill Russell pt. 2.

Lebron looked similarly oming in, how's that working out for him?

Well shady he's still an overhyped player thats how its working for him. The sheer fact that people even jokingly imply he's as good as Jordan is a mockery. I don't care how young he is and how much potential he has. The kid is like the prime example of anti-clutch and considering his body stature he should be dominating. I don't like Kobe because i think he's an idiot but hands down the better player between the two.

And how does any of that have anything to do with how old either he or Oden look exactly?

Pretty well considering he led his team to an NBA finals appearance at a pretty young age. Even if he didn't perform to his potential, and never does, he's still got a lot going for him.

Don't forget the millions of dollars.

I'd say it's working pretty well for him, but then again, what do I know. You're probably right, Lebron doesn't have much working for him.

I'm excited to see him play, but saddened to see him leave OSU so early (along with Connely and Cook -- well kinda Cook).

He's gonna be a beast for a long time in the NBA. I wish I could look into the future and see where Portland's gonna be in the standings.

Barring injuries Oden has everything he needs to be a dominant big man. The guy learned how to better use his left hand last year because of the fact he had injured his right hand/wrist. A 7 footer who's as fast as him and can use both hands around the basket on the offensive side is deadly. Even if he doesn't average 25+ points a game he's gives Portland the defensive presence that wins championships in the middle. As a Laker fan I'm damn impressed with what Portlands done not so much drafting Oden as getting the pick meant he was going there but moreso about going with a youth movement for the most part. They've done a lot to get rid of the jailblazers image by getting rid of troubled albeit skilled players.

From: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2924136

"One shot I couldn't block, and he came over my shoulder and blocked it; I was amazed," said power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 draft. "And he dunked everything around the rim."

I know it's summer leagues and blah blah but if it true and Greg Oden was flying past Aldridge to block he shot Aldridge himself couldn't, that's mighty impressive to me.
